Here are a few logistical suggestions for our Zoom group:
- Make sure to update your version of Zoom to the latest release.
- Sit close to the screen.
- Use a headset if available.
- Familiarize yourself with how to mute, unmute, start video, stop video.
- When you are not talking, please mute yourself to reduce background noise.
- Try not to sit with a window behind you. Background lighting makes it hard to see your face.
- Talk slower than usual when you make comments or ask questions.
- If you are using a laptop, don’t put it on your lap. Place your laptop or other device on a stable surface.
- For the experiential exercises you will want to be seated in a way that you can place your feet on the floor, have your back supported, and visible from the ribcasge up.
I highly encourage you to join via video using a tablet or computer that is plugged into a power source. Most systems will run out of power before the time needed.
