Here are a few logistical suggestions for our Zoom group:

  1. Make sure to update your version of Zoom to the latest release.
  2. Sit close to the screen.
  3. Use a headset if available.
  4. Familiarize yourself with how to mute, unmute, start video, stop video.
  5. When you are not talking, please mute yourself to reduce background noise.
  6. Try not to sit with a window behind you. Background lighting makes it hard to see your face.
  7. Talk slower than usual when you make comments or ask questions.
  8. If you are using a laptop, don’t put it on your lap.  Place your laptop or other device on a stable surface.
  9. For the experiential exercises you will want to be seated in a way that you can place your feet on the floor, have your back supported, and visible from the ribcasge up.

I highly encourage you to join via video using a tablet or computer that is plugged into a power source.  Most systems will run out of power before the time needed.
